Christmas at The Carroll's

If you've ever been involved in a vehicle accident and you needed repairs done on your vehicle, you knew who to call around here- Carroll's body shop. The kindest people you could meet and perfect friends. The Carroll's have earned a good reputation here in Elkton, so when I heard Emily Carroll had a beautiful home I kept that info in my pack pocket. When Emily expressed interested in this year's tour I was so excited! Her home is so sweet and she has something we all need a little more of, hospitality! Her tree is the perfect example because it is decorated with non-breakable ornaments making the pressure to keep kids away leap away. She makes room for everyone to feel welcome and cared for! I can't wait for you to experience a Carroll Christmas on the tour of homes!

Emily's Favorites

Decoration: Our kid-friendly tree! After my kids broke no less than 8 ornaments in a 24 hour period we realized we needed to do something different! We started purchasing a handful of felt ornaments each year and now we have a tree full of them! I love listening/watching my kids use their imaginations and play with the ornaments.

Memory: Every year we would read The Polar Express before bed on Christmas Eve. Even as my brother and I became adults we’d still read the book with our parents. Now that I have my own children I’ve carried on the tradition.

Tip: Keep it simple and practical. What works for one family may not work for yours! If you need some cheap decor head to the woods! Pine cones and evergreens are plentiful!
