Christmas at The Rager's

I've spent many shopping days and movie nights at this next house on the tour. It's the house I always ate buttered bread at in the summers. It's the first place I had peach tea and to this day makes me remember what it was like, being little and having no cares. The Rager's home was always decorated so beautifully then and still is today. This year it will have sprinkles of red lights in memory of her mother and her love of red Christmas lights! How special! The talent that Leslie has is incredible. It's so good that she decided to share it with the world more recently through her "Ruffled Nest," business. The Santas on the stairs really bring back memories for me- and for her family too. When I asked Leslie what her favorite decorations were this is what she said,

"If I had to say one thing, it would be the Santa’s on the stairs. Every year when my children were young, it was the first thing we put out each year. We turned the dancing Santa’s up as loud as they would go and would dance around the house! I suggested a few years ago NOT to put them out and nearly had a riot from my adult children that insisted it wasn’t Christmas without the Santa’s. The snowman in my kitchen are also a staple that signal the season is bright in the Rager home."

I can't wait for you to see all The Rager's this holiday season!

Leslie's Favorites

Decoration: The Santas on the stairs

Tip: Use lots of ribbon and lights! Even a rusty bucket can be beautiful with a bow on it! Also, use your greenery tips as your wire to secure you ribbon and ornaments.

Memory: My favorite Christmas memory is coming home from the Rager Christmas Eve at Mama Rager’s and Landon and Cloie looking for Rudolph’s nose in the sky, feeding the reindeer, reading The Night Before Christmas, and going to bed with all the Christmas lights on.

My best childhood memory is the massive amounts of goodies stuffed into our stockings! Each gift meticulously wrapped by my perfectionist father. We weren’t a family of privilege and monetary means, but my parents somehow always made Christmas so special The stockings are tradition we are delighted to continue it in my childhood house which is now my daughters home!
